Be not critical

Be not critical of others.

 

To criticize is to find a shortcoming;

To find a shortcoming is to have an ideal;

To have an ideal is to have a goal;

To have a goal is to desire its attainment.

 

One desires to the extent that the Self is present.

As spirit grows, Self diminishes;

As Self diminishes, desire decreases;

As desire decreases, goals decrease;

As goals decrease, ideals diminish;

As ideals diminish, criticism diminishes;

As criticism diminishes,

Charity grows.
