The meek simply smile

To be humble is

To place an “other” before oneself;

Humility is a stranger to solitude.

To be meek is

To be gentle with the whole of life –

In both action and in word,

Alone or in company,

At all times and in all ways.

The meek walk their path

In constancy,

Neither looking up nor down, but

Only to the left and to the right,

Smiling, in wonder,

At their being.
